AssetGraph is a research and development project exploring how public product data, including EPREL, can support reliable product identity, compatibility and lifecycle information through structured APIs.
Energy label data is public. Using it isn't simple.
Since 2021, most major appliance and electronics categories sold in the EU have been required to carry a registered entry in EPREL, the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling. The registry is open by design, but the tools built around it are meant for manual lookups, not for the product catalogues, compliance workflows, and spec sheets that manufacturers and retailers actually run on. Getting a single label value into a system usually still means someone copying numbers by hand.

Every integration is designed around the rules that govern the registry itself, not around the fastest way to scrape it.

Label data comes back typed and validated against a clear schema, not as a page of text to re-parse downstream.

Every record links back to its source entry in EPREL, so nothing downstream is asserted that can't be checked.
